Date: 14 June 2000
Location: On the north side of the railway tracks on entering the village off Highway 2.
Description: Obelisk in shape and crowned with the Christian Cross. It is approximately 12 feet in height and 6 feet at the base. Painted black & white and surrounded by miniature concrete obelisks threaded with industrial chain. A single bronze plaque is mounted on the front.
Construction: Concrete.

Comments: The town of Burdett is very much in dereliction with only a handful
of persons living there at the writing of this article. The memorial is in
excellent condition and is presently maintainedby the Bow Island Legion.
